Andrew Berman Architect's work at the New York Public Library Washington Heights Branch made Michael Kimmelman's list of the best architecture in New York in 2016, published in the New York Times December 15th.
The Children's Reading Room and the Teen Space occupy the second and third floors of this grand Carnegie Library respectively.
“In ways big and small”, says Kimmelman, “architects like Mr. Berman have changed New York City this year. Projects like the library branch made it a little more livable and humane.”
